
The Business/Education and Community Partnership (BECP) was established by the DIDA in an attempt to heighten the awareness in what was then a shift in the philosophy of economic development. Up to this time it was thought that a good building site along an interstate, with sewer and water, were the keys to success. We now know that the number one key to success is a strong stable workforce. Five years later this award winning program has been recognized as an Exemplary Partnership by the Illinois State Board of Education.
