As the sun sets in the west, the sun rises in the east. All four of the scholarship recipients this year could not get much further east within the state of Illinois. This also was the third year that RASCOE sponsored two scholarships. We thank them for their continuing interest in our youth and in our organization.
IASCOE’s first place $250 recipient was Jenni Trogdon whose parents are Mindy and Kevin Trogdon. Mindy is a PT in Edgar County, which is located in the south-central eastern coastal city of Paris. Jenni is a freshman at SIU-Edwardsville and is in a pre-pharmacy curriculum.
IASCOE’s second place $150 recipient was Samantha Daniels whose parents are Tammy Bohlmann and Darryl Daniels. Tammy is a PT in Iroquois County, which is located in the north-central eastern coastal city of Watseka. Samantha is a freshman at North Central College majoring in accounting and business.
RASCOE’s first place $250 recipient was Amanda Woodyard. She is the daughter of Ron and Kathy Woodyard. Kathy is a PT in the Edgar County Office. Amanda is a graduating senior at Paris High School. She will be attending the University of Illinois and pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
RASCOE’s second place $150 recipient was Andy Mace. Andy is the son of Doug and Betsy Mace. Betsy is a PT also from Edgar County. Andy is a freshman at Lake Land College seeking a degree in Social Sciences.
All submitted scholarships were forwarded to the MWA for further competition. A young lady from Ohio was the MWA $1,000 recipient.
Congratulations to all scholarship applicants (and their parents). |
