Lincoln-Manahan Home Restoration
Financial Goals Not Yet Met

5/18/2008:

SRFHS Director and Curator, Terry Buckaloo, mentioned at the May meeting that Sponsorhip Opportuunities as announced in April still exist. At that time an invitation was offered to both members and the general public to assist in the restoration of the Sterling, Illinois home where Lincoln slept on July 18, 1856. As of this date the fund raising end of the project meets about one-third of the amount necessary to complete the project in time for the planned 2009 Lincoln celebration.

Sponsorship Opportunities (fully tax deductible) include a range from a $100 Railsplitter to a $10,000 Founder contribution, although Free Will donations are acceptable. A plaque will be displayed in the restored home with the names of those who contribute $100 and above.

If you would like more information on the Lincoln-Manahan Restoration Project, email Terry Buckaloo.
