The first Avenue G Bridge, completed in 1904, is shown below. It met disaster when an ice gorge swept it away in February, 1906. Work on replacing this bridge started almost immediately, and was completed by December, 1907. Photo donated to the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society by Carl Loos.
