William F. Flock is shown in center of photo prior to leaving for Puerto Rico in 1898 at time of Spanish-American War; he was a Private in Company E, 6th Illinois Infantry. The 1900 US Census lists William, son of Henry and Barbara Flock, white, male, born May, 1877, in Illinois, age 23, single, living at home with parents, one of 12 children, occupation is plumber. Parents born Germany; father emigrated 1857 and mother in 1852. Can anyone tell us about the other soldiers with him in picture?
